Franklin County: Students help with fund-raiser

Nursing students from Medtech College - Lexington volunteered at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Frankfort to help with the Festival of Trees fund-raiser. Students spent time with Alzheimer's Memory Care residents, helped set up for the event, served food and assisted with the silent auction. Local vendors donated decorated trees and displayed them at The Lantern, where they were auctioned off. The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Frankfort raised more than $500 from the event. The money will be split between the local Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society.
