Students who complete RN-BSN programs who are considering graduate study must be aware that in order to be eligible for admission to graduate nursing programs in the state of Mississippi, they must have graduated from a state approved BSN program. The program from which they graduate must be accredited by a United States Department of Education (USDE) approved national nursing education accrediting body, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The institute from which the student graduates must be located in a state authorized postsecondary educational institution accredited by a USDE recognized regional accrediting agency. Medtech Institute’s RN-BSN program is not regionally accredited and its RN-BSN program is not accredited by a national nursing education accrediting body.
